Create an Issue Links Matrix
Issue linking must be enabled to create Issue Links matrices.
If issue linking is disabled in your Jira instance, you’ll see a lozenge next to the matrix name notifying you about the required configuration.
To create Issue Links Matrices:
On your Jira Cloud instance, navigate to your Project settings or Project settings->Apps.
On the left menu, choose Issue Matrix configuration.
On the Issue Matrices page, click the Add Matrix button.
From the list, choose the Issue Links type for your Issue Matrix.
The Add Matrix page will be visualized, where you can start setting configuration options.
Context > Linked Projects: You can link the Issue Matrix configuration to several projects in the Context section. By default, the Issue Matrix configuration is linked to the current project only. You can leave it like that if you don’t need to create a multi-project configuration.
Multi-project configuration: If you want to use a single Issue Matrix configuration in several projects, choose their names in the Projects to link section. Then, an Issue Matrix configuration and panel will appear in all linked projects.
With multi-project issue matrices, changes to the Issue Matrix configuration in one of the projects will affect the rest of the projects.Context > Issue Types: After specifying the linked projects, choose issue types for each of them in the Context > Issue Types section.
Keep in mind, that the different projects might be associated with different issue types. For that reason, for each project, you need to choose the issue types where you would like to show the Issue Matrix panel.Type: In the Type section, choose issue links, which will be shown on your Issue Matrix.
Data: Configure the data (columns, their width and headers) that the Issue Matrix will show. The columns are custom fields from your Jira Cloud instance.
Sort by: Set a default order for the data displayed in the matrix by choosing one or more fields in the Sort By section.
Save the configuration.
Issue Matrix allows you to have completely different information in the issue views for the different projects. You just need to create different Issue Matrices in different projects.
