Problem

During analysis of Server/DC to Cloud migration the following error occurs:

Managed custom field is not found on the Jira Cloud site. Refer to the following KB article for more information.

Reason

There is a Managed (also Locked) custom field that is not found on your Jira Cloud site. Those custom fields are managed by Jira Applications - Software and Service Desk.

Solution

You have two options:

  1. Make sure the field is not part of the Jira Server/DC migration scope. Sometimes Service Desk fields are referenced in Software projects and vice-versa. For better troubleshooting use Power Admin.
  2. Install the missing Application on your Jira Cloud site and create a sample project. This will trigger that field to be created. Rerun the analysis. The next analysis result will not list this field as Addition with Error.
