The Data Table Custom Field can be used to retrieve data from a database or from a SIL script in a table grid. First you have to configure the custom field as pointed in the Data Table Configuration page, by specifying from where to retrieve its data.
The configured field can then be used to display the data during the following JIRA operations:
- View an issue
- Edit an issue
- Create an issue
- Transitions on issue
