Overview
With Delegated Project Notifications for JIRA, a JIRA project administrator can branch their notification scheme at any time and edit it to fit their needs. If they want to return to the global notification scheme, it's just one simple button click in the project administration schemes.
This feature is used by JIRA Project Administrators who want to easily control notifications on their projects! The JIRA administrators and the rest of the user base benefit from this capability!
Global configuration (JIRA Administrator)
There are currently 3 global configuration items available to be set:
Enable Notification scheme editor
This switch enables the notification scheme editor in the project settings for all the projects.
Prepend name
This text will be attached at the beginning of all notification schemes generated via this feature. If this value is modified, the notification schemes will be updated accordingly to reflect the change.
Max number of users in group
This setting limits the number of users in a group that can be included via the Project Notification Editor interface. If a project administrator attempts to add a notification for a group larger than this setting permits, a validation error will appear, preventing the group's addition. Nonetheless, the group can still be added through the standard JIRA notification editing process. This setting exists to prevent the accidental inclusion of all JIRA users, promoting cautious oversight on bulk notifications. However, to minimize conflicts, you may choose to enter a larger number in this field.
