Overview

You can ask the bot to send a list of issues based on your selected criteria to a channel at a defined interval (such as daily at a specific time). This tool is great for project managers or scrum masters overseeing a team's work.

Prerequisites

  • You need to invite the bot to your channel to use this feature.

  • New users will be asked to connect their Slack and Jira accounts to view issue details.

On this page:

Configuring scheduled reports

  1. Run a search for the desired issues, e.g. by typing my tickets or using a JQL search like jira search project = DEV and priority = Highest and resolution is empty

  2. Click the Schedule button to expand scheduling options.

  3. Create your report by:

    • Naming your report.

    • Adding an optional description (this can be used to @mention users or groups)

    • Setting as enabled/disabled.

    • Setting the time of day your report is generated.

    • Setting which days your report will be generated.

    • Confirming the command used and the channel where your report will be posted.

  4. Optionally, choose which issue fields you would like to display when the report sends.

Managing scheduled reports

  1. Type the command /jira-plus reports in any channel or directly to the bot.

  2. You will see a list of your scheduled reports. You can then use the ... button to manage each report.

Common Scheduled Reports

  1. A daily report of issues assigned to me.

  2. Report of overdue issues for my project.

  3. Project summary report into scrum channel.

  4. All issues assigned to me within the last 24 hours.

  5. All issues that were mentioned to me within the last week.
