Only the Jira administrators have access to the configuration page of the app. The app configuration page is accessible from Jira’s Add-ons administration menu, under the Rich Filters section.

If the Keyboard Shortcuts feature is enabled on your Jira instance, you can also use the “gg” shortcut, type “Rich Filters” and select the App configuration option.

The plug-in configuration page allows the Jira administrators to configure the following settings:

  • Filter creators: this is the group of users who can create rich filters. By default, this is set to Anyone. Jira administrators have the right to create rich filters even if they are not part of this group.
  • Maximum clauses: the maximum number of smart clauses allowed for a smart filter. The default value is 10. (This setting exists as a safety precaution, because some uses of smart filters, particularly in 2D statistics gadgets, can be potentially resource-intensive for the server.)
  • Disable issue actions: The issue actions are available in the Rich Filter Results gadget, allowing users to update the issues directly from the dashboard. Administrators can hide the issue actions (except View issue) at instance level.
  • Labs features: the administrators can enable/disable experimental app features. Click here to know more about labs features.
