How to do advance calculation in Excel macro using GoEdit app

This article explains how to do advance calculations in Excel macro using the GoEdit app.

Using GoEdit you can open and edit attached spreadsheets to confluence pages "in place" that way you do not have to download the file and change it then re-attach it. It will help to edit the data in the attachment without impacting your Excel formula.

Instructions

Follow the below instructions:

1. Login as Confluence Admin.
2. Click  > Manage apps > Find new apps to install the GoEdit app.
   
3. Go to space and create a page with attachments.
4. Click on the page edit link.
5. Add the macro Excel for Confluence and mention the Name of attachment then click Save.
   
   
6.  Edit directly option will show above the attachment details as shown in the below screenshot.
   
7. Click on Edit directly to edit the data. Below option will pop up on your screen, click Open GoEdit to proceed with editing and click Install.
   The first time when you edit attachment using GoEdit, it will ask you to install it on your computer.
   
8. This will open the excel sheet, here you can make the changes and save the excel.

9. The below screen will pop-up, click Save Attachment.
   
10. The data got edited now for user3.
    
11. Refer to the below example where editing the data will also update the calculation made in the excel sheet.
