In this article, you will find examples of how you can organize your work using Boxes to comply with different methodologies or internal standards. The Box types highlighted green are the default configuration of BigPicture while the remaining ones are available in BigPicture Enterprise. The diagram below shows an example of the Box hierarchy created using the default configuration:

Agile project

Click the '+ Add new' and select the 'Agile - Agile Project' from the drop-down:

Enter the Box name together with the Start and End date:

Next you can add Iteration Box type as sub-Boxes. Again, enter the Box name together with the Start and End date. By default, Iteration Boxes will be sequential which means that the App can propose the 'End date' if the duration was already set. For example, lets set the duration of Iteration 1 to two weeks:

In other words, the scheduling mechanism adds +1d to the "Start date" of the previously created Box:

This way, you can create a Box hierarchy with a couple of clicks. If you want to adjust the dates directly on the timeline switch to a Timeline mode:

Portfolio

The Portfolio Box aggregates data from the child boxes inside.

To organize your Boxes into portfolios use drag and drop when in the Hierarchy mode of the Overview module. You can add new Boxes to the Portfolio or move existing Boxes. Let's add the "Agile Project - Online store" together with some other Boxes to the "US Portfolio":

The resulting view shows the aggregated status and time tracking progress at the Box level (when the scope type is set to own) and at the portfolio level (when the scope type is set to none (aggregations only)):
