This guide provides step-by-step instructions for downgrading Confluence Apps to a previous version. This can be useful if problems with the newest version prevent you from using it.

  1. Uninstall the Current Version.

    1. Navigate to the Confluence administration panel.

    2. Select Manage Apps from the menu.

    3. Locate the plugin you wish to downgrade.

    4. Click on Uninstall. Note that this action will remove the plugin but will not delete any associated data.

  2. Download the Older Version.

    1. Go to the Marketplace, select the app you wish to get the older version of, and then select versions.

    2. Access the Versions tab or section (for example, LaTeX Math - Version History on the Atlassian Marketplace).

  1. Verify Installation.

    1. Once the installation is complete, go back to the Manage Apps section.

    2. Check the plugin version to confirm that the older version is now active.

By following these steps, you can successfully downgrade the plugin in your Confluence instance.

  • Test these steps in the stage environment first.

  • Ensure you have the necessary permissions to uninstall and install Apps.

  • Verify compatibility of the older plugin version with your current Confluence instance to avoid potential issues.

  • If you encounter any problems or the plugin does not behave as expected Submit a support request.
