This page provides the details to clone an issue along with the versions and components.

Prerequisite

Ensure that you have been assigned the Administrators role on the Project settings > People page as shown in the following image to clone an issue with versions and components.

Steps

1. Select an issue you want to clone in your Jira instance. For example, consider an issue with the version and component as shown in the following image.

   

2. In the top-right corner, select Actions > Clone Plus option or select theClone Plus quick-add button in any issue.

3. On the Clone Plus for Jira page, do the following:

   1. Select the required values for Clone operation, Project, and Issue type.

   2. In the Clone options section, select the following clone option:

      • Versions

      • Components

        

4. Click Clone.

5. On the Create issue page, select values for all the issue fields as required.

6. Click Create.
   A successful issue creation message is displayed and the parent issue is cloned with the version and component.
