This article provides the provides step-by-step instructions on how to add personal space and apps to the Macro Security for Confluence app.
Instructions
- Log into a Confluence instance as an administrator.
- Go to your profile picture and click Personal space as shown below:
- Create a page in that space and do the following:
- Click the Cog wheel , select Manage apps and expand the Macro Security app.
- Click Configure to see Confluence administration see the Macro Security for Confluence Configuration page.
- From this page, you can add macros can be added manually or can be imported import macros from the macro properties file.
- Adding macros manually:
- Enter the macro name and personal space key as shown in the below screenshot , and click Add. Make sure that the required macros are enabled as per your requirement.

- Import Importing macros from the properties file:
- Click and select , select Import macro properties to and choose the required properties file from where with the macros that are to be imported.

- Adding macros manually:
- Go to the Global configuration tab and make sure the option: the Enable macro securityis option is enabled.
- Go to the page that was created in Step#3 and add step #3.
