EDIT web.config file (default location: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\tfs-jira-synchronizer)
Add entry <customErrors mode="Off"/> nested in first <system.web>
Save web.config. This will recycle the application pool

Log in to the environment where TFS4JIRA is installed.
With windows explorer, please navigate to the application log file folder. Default location: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\tfs-jira-synchronizer\App_Data\log
In the above folder, please look for a file named: tfssync.log
You can open this file with the Notepad application, for example, and scroll to the last line where the error is recorded.
Solution 3
The same error is also recorded in the Windows Event Logs. To obtain such logs, please follow below.
Open the event viewer window with the command: eventvwr
In the left tree, please expand Windows Logs and choose Application
Search for any Errors or Warnings
