To collaborate on the same gadgets with the same datasource, create a new datasource with the permission of “My organization.” Thus, any logged user in that instance can use that the datasource.

1 > . Navigate to Apps > Dashboard Hub.

2 > . Click on Three three dots next to the Edit button > Click on and select Add Datasource.

3 > . Select Jira > Add

4. Add the Name and Instance URL4 > Set , and set permissions to organization > .

5. Click on Add.

  1. Click Edit > Configure to update the gadget.

  1. Select the datasource from the drop-down menu and click Save.

Note

Changing the datasource on the an existing gadget will remove the configuration. The user will have to reconfigure the gadget or re-create recreate the dashboard with the new datasource.

Functionality -

The “This Jira instance” datasource is private for each user, so each user has their own “This Jira instance”

datasource. If a gadget uses a private datasource, then only the datasource owner can use it. This is intended for security reasons

and prevents:

  • Data leaks.

  • Users accessing information using credentials other than their own.

Our roadmap includes the ability to grant permissions to datasources. Users will be able to share their datasources with other users, giving permissions in data sources more granularity beyond just “Private” or “My organization.”
