The SIL Help Panel in the SIL Manager is the quickest way to look up SIL syntax information or information about specific routinesfunctions.

To use the SIL Help Panel:

  1. Open the SIL Help tab by click the tab on the right side of the SIL Manager

  2. Enter a search topic in the search bar. Some example key words might be:

    1. operator to see syntax examples for mathematical operators

    2. syntax to see examples of SIL language syntax

    3. array to see a list of routines functions for arrays

  3. Click on one of the results returned by the search

  4. In the provided content you will find helpful information such as:

    1. Descriptions

    2. Syntax examples

    3. Routine Function return types

    4. Examples

  5. To see more about a topic, click the link to the online documentation at the top of the topics help content.
