To add the Parent Issue Status

validator, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Jira cog icon > Issues > Workflows.

  2. After finding the workflow, go to the three-dots icon and click Edit. Navigate to the transition of your workflow

  2. Select JEP - Parent Issue Status Validator and then click the Add button.

  2. Select the status(es) which the parent issue

Click the Add button and that's it.

    If the parent issue's status is not in the list within this validator, then it will not proceed with the transition and will give an error message like the one below:
