This article explains how to resolve the reporter field error while creating a subtask when using the sub-task post function in the app Create on Transition on for Cloud instance app. 

Instructions

1. Log in as in as a Jira Administrator administrator and clickImage Modified> Projects.
2. Select the required project and click Project Settings Settings.
3. Select the required workflow and click Edit to view the transitions associated with the workflow.
4. Select a transition and click click Post-Function from the box on the right.
5. Click Click Add post function, select elect Create Sub-task from the list, and click click Add.
6. Below is Configure the Create sub-task post function configuration:

7. Publish the workflow before performing the transition. 
8. In order to test, create a sample ticket with issue type as "Improvement" and perform the transition to In Review status.
9. Check the transition logs by navigatingImage Removed> System > Transition Logs.

10. To resolve the Remote error, modify the reporter permissions by adding to a Group as shown:

11. Create an Improvement request and change the transition to IN REVIEW status as . For this example, let's configure the post-function to create a ticket with Improvement issue type when transitioning to the In Review status as follows:

12. Publish the workflow. For testing purposes, you can create a sample improvement ticket and transition to the In Review status to verify that the changes are applied.

13. Navigate toImage Added>System>Transition Logs to check the transition logs.

14. Edit the respective project permissions and edit the reporter permissions in Modify Reporter for a Group as shown:

    This step ensures that adequate and relevant permissions are granted to the required user group(s) to correct the resolve error.

    
    

15. Now, create an improvement request and change the status to In Review as per the configured post-function.

This error is observed if the Create on Transition app is installed for the first time. To resolve this error, you must add the required permissions to the relevant group(s).
