Prepare Jira server data for migration

  1. Make sure you have an integration user set up or follow the documentation on how to create an integration user account for the connector.

  2. Log in to your Jira Cloud instance.

    1. Click on Settings > Manage apps, and under User-installed apps, click on Salesforce & Jira Cloud Connector.

    2. Click on Migration Hub in the left menu.

    3. On the Migration Hub page, click Get Started, which registers a webhook that allows the cloud SFJC app to enable receiving data from the SFJC server.

    4. A confirmation message appears.

  3. Log in to your Jira server instance.
    To prepare your Connector's app data, you must run the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) to choose the projects, users, and groups you want to migrate.

    1. Follow the instructions in Atlassian's JCMA Migration Guide, and do not skip any steps.

    2. Take note of the following important sections when using the JCMA:

      1. In the Assess your apps page, make sure Connector for Salesforce & Jira is marked as Needed in cloud.
