Pre-requisite: The custom fields for Asset objects are configured and available in Jira issues. For reference, the Location and Model custom fields are defined and configured.
Create a List report.
Go to Jira > Reports and Timesheets > Custom Report Create new Report.
The Report Designer interface opens when you create a report using a template or build one from scratch. To create a new report, click Create new Report. For more information, refer to Report Templates.
By default, the report type is selected as List when you create a custom report.
Click on the following fields in the Search fields panel to add them to the report.
Common: Issue Key, Issue Type
Custom: Model, Location
Location - Click Settings (
)To report only issues that contain non-empty Location field values, add the filter.
Click Run to view the result.
The Asset name in the report is linked to the Asset object. To view the Asset object attribute details, click Asset field value. This navigates you to the Asset object screen.
Below is another report view grouped by custom field Location. In the Location field settings, select the option Group results by this field.
To view the report in other report-type formats, you can create a similar report.
