For the sound to function properly, you should allow sound permission for the Jira website in your browser. Here’s how to do that for some popular internet browsers:

Go to the URL bar where your Jira URL is shown, and click the Lock icon.
In the drop-down menu, click Site Settings.
On the settings page, click the drop-down next to Sound,and select Allow.
Click the Reload button on your original tab.
When you click the lock icon again, you’ll notice that Sound is showing Allow.

Switch to the Websites tab within the Preferences pop-up window.
Click Auto-Play in the sidebar.
Choose Allow All Auto-Play option in the drop-down menu next to the Jira site.
Reload Jira page.
