Introduction

This page documents the synchronizing JIRA issue automatically feature.

Events that Trigger Synchronization

The Connector will trigger updates to a Salesforce Object automatically because the Listener in the connector is enabled by default based on the mapping fields configured by the administrator.

This is a list of The events are captured by the Listener and triggers the "Push Change to Remote System" function:

  • Issue Updated
  • Issue Assigned
  • Issue Resolved
  • Issue Closed
  • Issue Worklog Updated
  • Issue Worklog Deleted
  • Issue Work Logged
  • Issue Reopened
  • Issue Started
  • Issue Stopped
  • Issue Generic Event
  • Custom Event

    .

In other words, it will fire an update after a JIRA issue has been edited or after a workflow transition.

    Synchronization Errors

    1. The end user will not notice if an error has occurred, unless they manually "pushed changes". At this point, a general error message will appear.
    2. The error will normally be captured in Connector Diagnostics and a notification email will be sent to the "jira-administrators" group of users
