Problem

During the phase Analyze Changes of Jira Server/DC to Cloud migrations or Jira Cloud to Cloud deployments, the following error occurs:

Managed custom  Managed custom field is not found on the Jira Cloud sitedestination. Refer to the following following KB article  for for more information.

Reason

There is a Managed managed (also Lockedmight be a locked) custom field that is not found on your destination Jira Cloud site. Those These types of custom fields are managed bythe Jira Applications - Software and Service Deskapplications Software, Service Management, and Mobile Connect.

Solution

You have two three options:

• Ensure the field is not part of

• the source migration/deployment scope in the source Jira. For example, Jira Software projects sometimes might refer to Service Management fields. For server-to-cloud migrations, you can use Power Admin for better troubleshooting.
• If the custom field is created by Jira Software or Service Management, go to your destination Jira Cloud site. There, install the missing application and create a sample project. This will trigger

• the automatic creation of the field, and after rerunning the analysis, everything should be in order..
• If the custom field is created by Mobile Connect, go to your destination Jira Cloud site. Create a sample Software project. Then, navigate to Project settings > Summary > Settings > Jira Mobile Connect, click Enable and the field will be created. You can disable Mobile Connect again after that. Rerun the analysis, and everything should be in order.
