Overview
This gadget displays the number new and lost users of a given app in a period of time.
The count of users is an approximation made by adding the sizes of the licenses' tiers over a specific period of time. For server and data center licenses, the size of the tier is used, so it’s not a 100% precise number, for example, a 50 users server license is counted as 50 users, although it could be in a range of 25 to 50 users. As for cloud licenses, the number is more precise, since the tier indicates the exact number of users of the license. This goes in both directions, new and lost users.

Overview
In Vendor Total Users by Type and App Users by Type we had to perform calculations to estimate the variation in the number of users by type of sale. However, to indicate the total number of users (as of the last full week) we rely on Atlassian’s API, which already provides that number.
This gadget displays the current total number of users of a given app. It also provides a comparison with the previous week, so you can see the evolution.

Configuration
Name your gadget meaningfully, so everyone knows at a glance what it is about and when to use it. Fill out the rest of the fields as applicable, namely:
The datasource, select a Marketplace datasource (see Add and Manage Datasources).The time period you want to display the number of users of your app.
The vendor associated with the marketplace partner account.
The app you want the users data from.
Finally, indicate if you want to use the current settings for all the compatible gadgets in the dashboard. This option eases the pain of configuring one by one the rest of the gadgets with the same default configuration
