Copy field value to linked issues

A workflow post-function that copies the value(s) of a selected field of the current issue into the same field of all issues linked to it through a selected link type.

To add the Copy Field Value To Linked Issues post-function to a transition:

Click Edit for the workflow that has the transition you wish to configure the post-function on.
In the Workflow Designer, select the transition.
Click on Post Functions in the properties panel.
Click on Add post function.
Select Copy Field Value To Linked Issues from the list of post-functions.
Click on Add to configure the post-function on the transition.
Select the field from the Field drop-down.
Select the link type from the Issue Link drop-down.
Select the options provided to add required parameters.
Click on Add to add the post-function to the transition.

When you add this post-function to a transition and trigger the transition, the add-on copies the value(s) of the selected field into the same field of all issues linked to it through the selected link type.

Customize this post-function using the additional options provided as a part of the post-function. The options are:

Copy only if not set

Copies the value(s) of the selected field into the same field of the linked issues, only when the field is empty on the linked issue(s).

Add source value(s) to destination field

Appends the value(s) of the selected field to the same field of the linked issues. This is applicable only to multi-valued fields.

Run as user

Any user specified in this field will be the author of the copy performed by the post-function. Leave it blank for the current user to be the author.

Note that you can use this function to copy a field from an issue to its sub-tasks by using the built-in jira_sub_outward link type and vice versa using jira_sub_inward link type.
