Prerequisites

Commenting on issues in Jira without switching context is a great way to save yourself time.

Comment in the view dialog

  1. Find a message from the Integration+ app in Slack.

  2. Click the View button on one of the issues.

  3. Click the Add comment button.

  4. Enter your comment

  5. Click the Add button.

Adding 📷 to capture a thread as a comment

  1. Find a message with a thread in Slack.

  2. Add the 📷 emoji to the top message.

  3. Choose to Add to an existing issue.

Add a comment with a command

  1. Type the keyword comment.

  2. Type a Jira issue key (i.e. DEMO-124).

  3. Enter your comment.

Add a comment in the Slack workflow

You can also use workflow builder to add comments to Jira issues in Slack.
