Follow these steps to add a remote issue link.

Guide

  1. To begin you will need to get the Salesforce object ID of the object you wish to link.
    You can do this by following the "Get the Salesforce Object ID" instructions for adding synchronous links.
     
  2. Go to the Jira issue you wish to link
     
  3. Go to More Actions > Link menu, or the + symbol next to the Issue Links section heading.



  4. The linking popup dialog should appear. This is the standard dialog for linking issues in Jira, however there is now an extra tab on the left called Connector Link.
    Click this to see the following:



  5. Choose the Salesforce connection from the drop-down connection options.
     
  6. The Remote Object field will display all the options defined by the administrator.
    Select one.
     
  7. Paste in the object ID from step 1. Ensure the type of this object matches the option you chose in the previous step.
     
  8. Click Link to finish linking. The new remote object link will appear in the Links list as below.
