What’s in the Beta release?
Supports CSV external data source
The Advanced Table Viewer macro imports data from external data sources using profiles.
The macro currently supports importing data only from the CSV data connector.
Macro features
The macro includes the streamlined version of the formatting features Sorting and Sum-up.
The formatting option is available in both the Edit and View mode of the macro on the Confluence page.
The Sum-up in Beta provides only sum and average calculations and applies only to columns with numeric data.
How to get started?
Configure profiles
To import the data, configure profiles for the CSV data source.
Make sure you have access to the required profiles, or contact your Administrator. For more information, refer to Configuration - cloud.
Import data using profiles
Insert the Advanced Table Viewer macro, and configure and import CSV data as tables in the confluence page. Refer to the page Advanced Table Viewer macro - cloud.
Work with your table data and create customizable views
Advanced Table Viewer macro enables you to work with your data directly on the Confluence page without switching to edit mode. With on-page formatting options, you can quickly create customizable views.
Sorting
The macro enables you to sort table row data based on the column values in the Confluence page and helps you to organize table data efficiently.
To sort a column, click the specific column header. Each click switches between ascending and descending order.
Sum-up
The Sum-up feature offers a summarization option to automatically calculate and display the sum (Sum) or average (Avg) for columns containing numeric data.
You can change the Sum-up type to Sum, Avg, or None.
Switch the Sum-up type by either using the Edit column dialog or by clicking on the specific column Sum-up value. Each click sequentially switches the values between Sum, Average, and None.
The macro features are available both in the Edit and View mode of the macro on the Confluence page.
Upcoming features
Upcoming releases will support additional data sources, such as JSON.
The macro will support more advanced options to interact with your data, such as text filtering, searching in the table, exporting, and more.
The Sum-up column property will support more calculation types.
