A status is a distinct state that can be applied to an asset. Assets include a set of default statuses, but you can also add new statuses to represent the different states of objects in your network. On the Statuses and Substatuses page (Settings > Statuses and Substatuses), you can create new statuses and substatuses.

Create a New Status:

To create a new status, do the following:

1. Open AIP, and click Settings > Statuses and Substatuses.

2. Click + Status. The Create New Status screen appears.

3. Enter a unique display name.

4. Select an appearance for the lozenge.

5. Enable the lozange by turning on the toggle.

6. Click Save.

The status will now appear on the New Asset screen.

Create a Substatus:

To create a new substatus, do the following:

1. Open AIP, and click Settings > Statuses and Substatuses.

2. Click the three-dot icon on the row of the status you want to create the substatus for.

3. Click Add Substatus.

4. Enter a unique display name.

5. Select the lozenge appearance you want.

6. Enable the lozange by turning on the toggle.

7. Click Save.

The substatus will now appear on the New Asset screen.
