AIP allows you to easily export your asset search results from the Asset Navigator to CSV, HTML, and Jira Cloud formats. This is an effective way to format data and create customized reports, graphs, and charts.
This article will guide you through exporting AIP search results to CSV, HTML, and Jira Cloud.
The needed steps are explained in detail below, but we recommend you watch the video to get a quick look before you start.
Prerequisites
Admin permissions for the Assets and Inventory app.
Instructions
Export search results to CSV (Microsoft Excel)
In the top navigation bar, select Asset Navigator.
Refine your search to fit your needs.
Under the Export menu, select Export CSV. The configuration page displays.
Choose the delimiter.
Check the Include linked assets option if linked issues should be printed.
Click Download.
A file named Assets <Time Stamp>.csv is created. You can edit this file in Microsoft Excel or Libre Office and save it as needed. See the following for an example of a file opened in Libre Office:
Export search results to HTML
AIP also enables you to export your asset search results from the Asset Navigator to HTML using predefined export templates. This method is useful for printing custom documents with asset details, such as having an employee's signature for asset checkouts.
In the top navigation bar, select Asset Navigator.
Refine your search according to your use case.
Under the Export menu, select Export HTML. The configuration page displays.
Pick the export style you prefer:
Grid view for an Excel-style list.
Individual assets view for a sequential display of each asset.
If the template has user variables (for example, a username), select a user.
Check the Include linked assets option if linked issues should be printed.
Click Download.
A file named Assets <Time Stamp>.html is created. Use a browser to print this file. You can personalize the HTML template to include any tags, such as your company logo or name.

Export search results for Jira Cloud
This section provides guidance on migrating assets from Jira Data Center/Server to Jira Cloud. It aims to ensure a seamless transfer of assets and eliminate manual tasks like adjusting headers and organizing data.
Prerequisites
Access to the Data Center/Server asset repository.
A properly configured Cloud environment.
Steps
In the top navigation bar, select Asset Navigator.
Refine your search according to your use case.
Under the Export menu, select Export for Cloud. The configuration page displays.
Select the delimiter, and click Download.
The system will generate a Cloud-compatible export file, ready for On-Premise to Cloud import.
