This article provides information about uninstalling the Source Editor for Confluence application.

  • Uninstalling the application will result in an error on the page where the macro was used.

  • If you no longer want to use the application but still have the page(s) that use the application's macros, you must first remove the macros from the page(s).

  • To uninstall the Source Editor for Confluence application you must have Administrator Global permissions.

To uninstall the Source Editor for Confluence application, perform the following:

  1. Go to (blue star) > Manage apps. The Manage apps under the Confluence Administration page are displayed.

  2. Search for the Source Editor for Confluence application or select the Source Editor for Confluence application and click the > (expand) icon. The details of the application are displayed.

  3. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialogue box is displayed. 

  4. Click Uninstall app. The application is removed from your instance.

If you have already uninstalled the app, you must temporarily install it and select Try it free until the macro is removed from the page(s).
