This article explains how to create bulk projects in Jira using Jira Command Line Interface (CLI).
Instructions
- Create a CSV file with required data filled into the columns project, name, lead and template as shown in the following screenshot:
Combine the actions runFromCsv and createProject to create bulk projects in Jira. This example works because the CSV file column names are the same as the parameter names for the createProject.
--action runFromCsv --file "bulkProjects.csv" --common "--action createProject"
It is recommended to test this scenario in a test environment before implementing it in production.
