This page is about Time to SLA for Jira On-Prem. Using Jira Cloud? Click the Cloud button above.
If you have changing SLA durations per issue, you can use this function to set SLA duration dynamically. The SLA clock will count according to this field.
To set an SLA Goal as a Dynamic Duration, you need to create a Dynamic Duration custom field within TTS beforehand. This custom field will appear only in the screens you select while creating the custom field, whether you define the SLA Goal as Dynamic Duration or not.
Here’s how to create a duration custom field:
Log into your Jira account.
Click Time to SLA in the header menu to see the TTS menu, and then select SLA Fields.
Click Add Custom Field > TTS - Duration Field, and the New TTS - Duration Field screen will pop up.
Enter a name for the duration field.
Click Save.
The duration field will now appear in the list.
Then, you’ll need to add the field you’ve created to your screens. Follow these steps to do that:
Go to SLA Fields.
Click the cog icon in the row of the TTS - Duration Field that you want the screens to be displayed on.
Click Screens, and the Jira Screens page will appear.
Tick the screens that you want to display the duration field.
Click Update.
Now, you can see the Duration Field in the Dynamic Duration drop-down menu while defining or updating an SLA.
