If you have any issues while using Gaia for Jira, you can enable Jira's logging capability in order to help find the root cause of these issues. The log file is helpful to us in order to help you debug the problems you may have encountered while using Gaia for Jira.
To do this, please follow these steps:
Go to the "Logging and profiling" page, under "System support" of the "System" section of the "Jira Administration";
Under "Default Loggers", configure logging level for another package.
Click on "Configure"
Set the "Package name" to "ca.nuum.gaia".
Set the "Logging Level" to "DEBUG".
Log files are generally written in the "log" directory of your Jira Home Directory. Find the "atlassian-jira.log" file there.
If you do not have access to the log files located in the Jira Home Directory, here is how you can get them:
Go to the "Troubleshooting and support tools" page, under "System support" of the "System" section of the "Jira Administration".
Click on the "Create support zip" tab.
Click on "Customize zip".
Uncheck every element except for "Jira application logs" and click "Save".
Click on "Create zip".
This will create a zip file with your logs that you can download on your local machine. If the zip file is too big, it might be because it contains several days of logs, then you can extract the "atlassian-jira.log" file from it, which is the log file for the current day.
