Export SLA metrics with Better Excel Exporter

This page is about Time to SLA for Jira Data Center.

If you need to analyze SLA performance outside of Jira, you can export Time to SLA data to Excel. Jira's built-in exports may not include all SLA-related details, but Time to SLA provides custom fields that contain this data.

  • For basic SLA exports, you can use Jira’s Issue Navigator.

  • For advanced SLA reports, you can use the Better Excel Exporter for Jira app, which provides full customization and formatting options.

Option 1: Basic SLA export using Issue Navigator

  1. Go to the Issue Navigator in Jira.

  2. Add the SLA Dates custom field to your columns.

  3. Filter or sort issues as needed.

  4. Export the data to Excel using Jira’s built-in export options.

If your SLAs were created using the legacy method, use it.sla.description. If they were created using the next-gen method, use it.slaName.

Option 2: Advanced SLA reporting with Better Excel Exporter

If you need more detailed SLA reports with charts, formatting, and customization, use Better Excel Exporter for Jira. This app automatically recognizes Time to SLA custom fields and exports them in a structured format.
