TTS – Reset SLA post function
Time to SLA provides a workflow post function called TTS – Reset SLA, which allows you to reset SLA timers when a specific workflow transition is executed.
You can use this post function to restart or invalidate SLAs automatically when a work item moves between statuses.
Step 1: Add the TTS – Reset SLA post function
Open the workflow where you want to add the post function.
Select the transition where the SLA should be reset (for example, when moving from To Do to In Progress).
Open the Post Functions tab.
Click Add post function. The list of available post functions opens.
Select TTS – Reset SLA.
Click Add.
Step 2: Configure the post function
After selecting TTS – Reset SLA, configure the following options:
Reset type
Restart current SLA – Restarts the SLA timer from the beginning.
Invalidate current SLA – Stops the current SLA cycle and marks it as inactive until the next start condition is met.
Behavior on finished SLAs
(Only applicable if the SLA has already finished.)
Do nothing – Keeps the completed SLA unchanged.
Reset SLA durations and restart SLA – Clears the previous duration and starts a new SLA cycle.
Reset SLA durations and invalidate previous cycles – Clears the previous duration and marks previous cycles as invalid.
These options are only valid for Next-gen SLAs. For legacy SLAs, a manual reset restarts finished SLAs.
Select SLA(s)
All SLAs – Applies the reset to all SLAs configured for the work item.
Selected SLAs – Allows you to choose specific SLAs to reset.
After configuring the options, click Add. The function appears in the Post Functions tab, as shown below:
Make sure that TTS – Reset SLA is placed after the Re-index an issue to keep indexes in sync with the database post function.
This ensures that SLA data is processed correctly after the work item has been re-indexed. You can adjust the order of post functions from the transition’s Post Functions tab.
