Release notes 8.8.4
Release date: May 7, 2025
Our team is thrilled to announce the latest release of Advanced Tables for Confluence, version 8.8.4.
Enhancements
CSV and JSON macros now support JVM proxy connections
With JVM proxy connections support in version 8.8.4 and above, the CSV and JSON macros can retrieve data through proxy connections.
However, you can encounter rendering errors when accessing data from external sources. This occurs because the Confluence Allowlist settings take precedence over the Advanced Tables for Confluence > Global Configuration > Restrict URL Access settings.
Resolution: To ensure the macros function correctly with external URLs, perform one of the following actions as a Confluence Administrator:
Option 1: Add the required external domains to the Confluence Allowlist.
Option 2: Add the parameter to the Confluence instance startup option and restart the Confluence instance. Use this option carefully, as it disables host restrictions for all outbound requests.
export CATALINA_OPTS=-Dnet.request.allow.all.hosts=true
For more information about proxying, refer to Proxying Atlassian Server applications.
To configure the Confluence properties, refer to Configuring system properties.
To configure Allowlist, refer to Configuring Allowlist.
