Sorting with Advanced Table Viewer [Beta] macro - cloud
The Advanced Table Viewer BETA macro enables you to sort the column values on the Confluence page and organize table data efficiently.
The sort feature is enabled by default when you insert the macro for the first time.
The sort configuration set in the macro setup mode is saved as the default.
When sort is enabled, it is accessible to you without edit permissions.
When sort is enabled, you can sort columns in both the Edit and View mode of the Confluence page.
Enable sort
Edit the macro to open the setup mode. Refer to Setup the Advanced Table Viewer [Beta] macro features.
Enable the sort option.
Click Save.
You need edit permissions to access the setup mode.
Sort column in setup mode
To sort a column, click its column header, the column is sorted, and the sort icon is displayed:
You can click the specific column header to switch between ascending and descending order.
Ascending order: If the column values are sorted in ascending order.
Descending order: If the column values are sorted in descending order.
The table row data displays based on the column sorted. For example, the Item column is sorted in ascending order.
Click Save. The sort configuration set in macro setup mode is saved as the default for every refresh of the Confluence page.
Macro setup
If the sort feature is disabled in the setup mode, then sort is not available in both the edit and view mode of the Confluence page.
Sort column in page view/edit mode
Once sort is enabled, you can sort the columns in Confluence page view, edit, and full-screen mode.
For example, in the page view mode, the column Tax is sorted in descending order.
