INTERNAL ONLY - DOT NOT SHARE WITH CUSTOMERS

 

Problem

Issue on workflow .
Workflow has been verified and the send-email trigger has been specified.
However, no email was sent upon the trigger condition being met.

 

Solution

  1. Login to Confluence as Admin

  2. Go to Settings > General Configuration >

    1. Select Mail Queue :

      If there’s nothing here, most possibly the mail service does not works, or Mail Servers is not configured.

    2. Go to Settings > CONFIGURATION . Mail Servers
      configure new by selecting Add New SMTP Server

      1. e.g picture below is using gmail service :

How to generate an app password from Gmail

Login to your Gmail account and type App password on the search bar.

Supply this App password on the configuration step above.

Troubleshooting

  1. Test sending out mail
    Once SMTP Mail Server configured, use the ‘Send Test Email’ function.

     

     

  2. You can check the email outgoing / failure status on the Mail Queue.
