How to automatically assign an issue to project lead using Create on Transition app

This article helps you automatically assign an issue to the Project Lead using the Create on Transition app.

Instructions

1. Log in as a Jira/Project Administrator.
2. Go to Project settings and select the Component lead from the components section. See the below screenshot for your reference: 
   
   
3. Go to the post function in the relevant project transition, edit the Create on Transition Post function and click on the Detailed Fields section. 
4. Select the Components as new and Assignee as Automatic as shown below: 
   
   
5. Click on Update to update the post function and Publish the workflow.
6. When you perform the transition, a new issue is created through Create on Transition app. The new issue will have an assignee as the component lead of the project.
