How to create subtask for each fixed version based on the parent ticket using Create on Transition Cloud app.

This article explains how to create a subtask for each fixed version based on the parent ticket using the app Create on Transition for Jira on Cloud instance.

Instructions

The use case explains parent ticket having Fixed versions with values affected2, fixed2, and on transitioning subtasks are created for each fixed version where one subtask has Fixed version as affected2 and another subtask has Fixed version as fixed2.

1. Log in as a Jira Administrator and click  > Projects.

2. Select the required project and click Project Settings.

3. Select the required workflow and click Edit to view the transitions associated with the workflow.

4. Select a transition and click Post-Function from the box on the right. Details about the transition are displayed.

5. Click Add post function. The Add Post Function To Transition screen appears

6. Select Create Sub-task from the list and click Add.

7. Configure the below settings and click on Update.

8. Publish the workflow before performing the transition. The sub-tasks are created only if the specified condition is met.
