How to configure an announcement for specific space(s) in Confluence

This article explains how to create an announcement for a specific space(s) using the Announcer for Confluence app.

Instructions

1. Log into the Confluence instance as an Administrator.
   
2. Select the Cog wheel  > Manage apps.
3. From the left sidebar, under the ANNOUNCER FOR CONFLUENCE section, select Announcements.
   
4. When you are creating an announcement for the first time:
   1. You see the Create one now button, clicking which allows you to configure a new announcement in the Announcer Configuration window.
      
   2. If you have an existing announcement(s), you see Add another notification button, clicking which allows you to configure another announcement in the Announcer Configuration window.
         
5. In the Announcement editor, enter the respective details of your choice as shown below:
   To configure additional settings to your announcement, click Show advanced options... For more details, refer to this page.
   
6. To display the announcement only for specific space(s), select the checkbox Filter for specific space(s) and add the space(s) in the associated text area by selecting from the auto-suggestions.
7. Preview the announcement and Save.
   

The announcement is displayed whenever the respective users navigate to the various space(s).
