Copy of How to sort the Issue matrix panel via priority using Issue Matrix app

This article explains how to sort the Issue matrix panel via priority using the Issue Matrix app. This is ONLY applicable for Jira Server Instances. 

Instructions

1. Login to Jira as an Administrator.
2. Navigate to  Cogwheel > Issues > custom fields > Add custom field.
3. Click on All and search for "Issue Matrix" and click on Next as shown in the below screenshot:
   
4. Add a name to the custom field (for example, Epic_Matrix)
5. Add the custom field to the project screen where it is required:
   
   
6. Now search for the custom field, which was created in the earlier step. 
7. For the newly created custom field, click the cogwheel > Configure > Edit Matrix Configuration > Epic and click on Next.
8. Configure the details, as shown below, and click on Save to save the configuration.
