How to track the velocity of Story Points resolved/completed using the Dataplane app

This article explains the steps you can follow to create a Bar chart which will help to track the velocity of Story Points resolved/completed.

 Instructions

  1. Navigate to Dataplane Reports > Reports and choose Sum Numeric Field by Date Report.

  2. Select the Time period and Interval as per your requirement.

  3. Select Project/Categories/Boards/Filters or JQL on a need basis.

  4. Select the Story Points for the Value of the Option.

  1. Select Resolution Date for the Date Basis option (determines where the value is plotted on the timeline).

  1. Add Assignee (Historical) to the Segment By option.

  1. Run the report to get the sum of resolved/completed story points for each assignee.

     

  • The report could be further customised by adding new fields.
