BigPicture Status Percentages May Exceed 100% Due to Rounding, Not Calculation Errors

In some BigPicture Enterprise programs on the Home page, the percentages shown in the Status column may add up to more than 100%. This is expected and caused by rounding, not by incorrect calculations.
Cause
BigPicture calculates the distribution of items per status using precise fractional values. Each status value is then rounded independently (usually to whole percentages) before being displayed. When these rounded values are added together, their sum can slightly exceed 100%.
Example:

  • Actual internal values: 33.4% + 33.3% + 33.3% = 100%

  • Displayed (rounded): 33% + 33% + 35% = 101%

There is no dedicated limit in the UI that forces the sum of all shown percentages to be exactly 100%.
Impact
The issue is purely visual and limited to how values are displayed.

  • It does not affect actual calculations, scheduling, or task distribution in BigPicture.

Workaround / Recommendation
There is currently no setting to enforce that displayed percentages always sum to 100%. Percentages on the Home page should be treated as approximate indicators. For exact distributions, use:

  • Raw task counts per status, or

  • Detailed views/exports that rely on non-rounded values.
