"Current Assignee: email" is empty in Tableau exports

Problem

In Tableau exports sourced from Jira Cloud, the Current Assignee: email field appears blank even though the assignee's name is visible.

Cause

Atlassian privacy settings in Jira Cloud restrict Marketplace apps from accessing user emails unless each user explicitly allows it.

Solution

Each affected user must update their Jira profile visibility settings:

  1. In Jira, navigate to your profile and select Profile and visibility > Contact > Email.

  2. Set Who can see this? to Anyone.

  3. Refresh the Tableau export. The Current Assignee: email field now populates.

Setting visibility to Only people at my company won't work because Atlassian APIs expose emails to apps only when visibility is set to Anyone.
