Rich Filter gadgets: Display the extended timestamp in the created column

This article explains how to display an extended timestamp in the Created column of a Rich filter gadget.

The steps listed in this article are only applicable to Jira Data Center.

Instructions

  1. The Created field captures both the date and the exact time of day an issue was created. When you add the Created field, it displays the applicable date and time.

  2. In the issue navigator, Atlassian opted to present only the date, with the time displayed only when hovering the cursor over the date. The same functionality applies to Rich Filter Results gadgets.

  3. To display the extended timestamp in the Created column of the issue navigator, please refer to the solution mentioned in this article.

  4. Once the changes are made and Jira is restarted, you’ll see the extended timestamp in the rich filter results.

    1. Before changes:

      The extended time stamp before the changes, displaying only the date in the Created field.

       

    2. After changes:

      The extended time stamp after the change, displaying both the date and time.

The process described above also applies to other date and time fields, such as the Updated field.
