Dashboard Hub Pro: Fix the Unexpected error, 500 Permissions Issue
This article provides information about datasource permissions required for the customer portal and steps to resolve the Unexpected error: Status Code 500 issue.
Issue
You encounter the following error on a customer portal dashboard:
Unexpected error: Status Code 500 (see screenshot below)
Instructions
Navigate to Apps > Dashboard Hub > Open Dashboard.
Click Edit > the Action Button (…) on gadget > Configure.
Click the Green toggle button and switch to the Owner permission.
Click Save
If the gadget is configured with the “Run as Viewer” option in the customer portal, it will attempt to use the logged-in user’s permissions. And when the logged-in user doesn’t have the proper permissions to request data, the 500 error is displayed. To be shared, gadgets must be configured with the “Run as owner” option.
