Issues linked to KR are not showing under linked issues

In this article, you’ll learn how to resolve the issue when connected work items do not appear under Linked Issues in the OKR for Jira app.

Problem

When you create a Key Result under an Objective, you may want to connect Jira work items to that Key Result.

In the example below, issue SSP-164 has been successfully connected, and its progress can be tracked on the board.

However, in some cases, even after connecting a work item, it may not appear under Linked Issues in the OKR view.

This can happen due to missing permissions. For example, a Jira user with access to OKR may still be unable to see the connected work items if they lack the necessary project permissions.

Solution

To fix this problem, ensure that the user has the proper permissions in the project where the connected work item resides.

Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Project settings of the project where the connected work item was created.

  2. Click Access > Project permissions.

  3. Click Actions > Edit permissions.

  4. Find the Browse Projects permission.

  5. Click Update, then add the user (or group) who should be able to view the linked work items in OKR.

  6. Click Update to save your changes.

After updating the permissions, the user should now be able to see all connected work items under Linked Issues in the OKR for Jira app.
