How to collect Storage Format in Confluence Cloud
The storage format provides helpful information for the support team to investigate an issue on a Confluence page. It allows the same affected page to be imported and recreated for testing.
Instructions
For a standard Confluence page:
Click More actions (…) on the top right of the affected Confluence page.
Select Advanced details > View Storage Format.
A new window opens with the storage format of the page.Copy and paste the window content into a text file and save it.
Attach the text file to the ticket
For a Confluence template or blueprint:
Suppose the affected page content comes from a Live Template macro configured to call a space template or blueprint. In that case, additional steps are required, as the storage format will only show the Live Template macro.
The steps are:
Create a dummy page using the Create button in the top navigation bar.
If the sidebar doesn’t appear like below, click More actions (…) on the top right and select Templates and import.
Find and select the template or blueprint that is used by the affected page.
Publish the page.
After confirming that the dummy page is the same format as the affected page, continue with the steps for a standard Confluence page (see above).
