Scenario


Review the progress of the project from a single status tracking report:
Create a status tracking report from the MultiExcerpts in the project reports so that managers can review the status of the projects at any time.

Steps

The following steps demonstrate how to create an excerpt surrounding the text using Multiexcerpt Fast Excerpt (Inline) macro and Multiexcerpt Fast Include (Inline) macro features:

 

Step 1

As a Confluence Administrator or MultiExcerpt user:

  1. Navigate to the project status page and go to the project status content.

  2. Type ‘/' and search for Multiexcerpt Fast Excerpt (Inline) macro or use the '+’ option in the editor main toolbar and search for Multiexcerpt Fast Excerpt (Inline) macro.

  3. Select the Multiexcerpt Fast Excerpt (Inline) macro.

  4. Specify a name for the Multiexcerpt macro.

  5. Add the project status content into the macro body.

  6. Click Publish.

 

Step 2

Within the other project pages:

Follow the first step. Define Multiexcerpt macros for all of the project status content that must display on the status tracking page.

Specify the right names for each of the Multiexcerpt macros that are created across different project pages so that you can reference them in the status tracking report.

Step 2

Include the Multiexcerpt macros in the project page or create a page if one does not already exist. In this example, the status tracking report exists.

  1. Navigate to the status tracking page and go the content where you want to add the status.

  2. Type ‘/' and search for Multiexcerpt Fast Include (Inline) macro or use the '+’ option in the editor main toolbar and search for Multiexcerpt Fast Include (Inline) macro.

  3. Select the Multiexcerpt Fast Include (Inline) macro.

  4. Select the project report Page where the Multiexcerpt Fast Excerpt (Inline) was created.

  5. Select the Multiexcerpt that was created.

  6. Click Insert.

This feature allows you to insert the macro surrounding the text.

 

Step 3

Follow step three. Add all the inline MultiExcerpt created on the different project status to the status tracking report.
