SSO - Configuring your identity provider (IDP)

The content is intended for IDP Admins, Atlassian System Admins, thus we are assuming that the audience has sufficient and relevant technical knowledge.

Depending on how your IDP system is set up (ADFS, OneLogin, Centrify, etc.), you would configure it in a different way. For IDP configuration we will use ADFS as an example, other IDPs are configured in the similar way. For more information on IDP, refer to your IDP documentation.

Notes

  • When you set up IDP, note that the SAML Consumer URL for your applications should look like this: http://${your-domain.com}/${atlassian-application-path}/plugins/servlet/globalconsumer.
  • If you use the latest Tomcat version, be sure to set the domain names without a leading dot in the name both in the Tomcat configuration and in /wiki/spaces/CADS/pages/20389196 as well.
